Most people arrive at security with a pile of tool names and no map. This course gives you the map first. You will learn what the CIA triad means in practice, how risk is actually measured rather than guessed at, and why defence in depth beats any single control. From there you will meet the people on both sides: opportunistic criminals, organised ransomware crews, insiders, and the blue team, red team, and purple team roles that answer them. Every concept is tied to a real breach so the theory has somewhere to land. By the end you can read a security advisory, follow an incident write-up, and explain to a non-technical colleague why a control exists.

    Beginner
